- CUSTOMISE MENU METHOD
- SETUP MENU[FORMAL] - will always ask for general settings when starting a run and defaults to initial values. (default)
- SETUP MENU[ACTUAL] - will always ask for general settings when starting a run and defaults to settings defined in the next 3 options.
- BASED ON DIPSW - does not ask for settings when starting a run and will instead use settings defined below.
- WAY OF LIFE - affects maximum lives, does not affect starting lives which is always 4.
- DRASTIC - maximum 5 lives
- MODERATELY - maximum 6 lives (default)
- PRUDENTLY - maximum 7 lives
- SPEED CONTROL
- AUTOMATIC - your character will slow down to 50% movement speed when you are holding the main shot button.
- MOMENTARY - your character will slow down to 50% movement speed when you are holding the speed control button.
- ALTERNATIVE - your character will switch between 50% movement speed and 100% movement speed when you press the speed control button.
- TRIPHASE - your character will switch between 33%, 66% and 100% movement speed when you press the speed control button.
- BOOTLEG GHOST - affects what happens when your character gets hit. Also affects suppression radius.
- ASPIRANT - If SOL is at its maximum and you have below 4 lives (3 lives or less), when you are hit your SOL goes to its minimum level and you don't take damage. Activates up to 3 times per stage.
- SOLIDSTATE - If SOL is high enough for a discharge, when you are hit your SOL goes to its minimum level and you don't take damage. Activates up to 3 times per stage.
- ADEPT - No automatic damage avoidance at any SOL level. Your character's suppression radius does not activate automatically (this means it will not activate if you are not holding main shot), but will activate faster (after you press and hold main shot).
- LEVEL - this setting only affects SEGMENT LOCATION and allows you practice different sections with different STELLA levels.
- UNPLUGGED - STELLA is not fixed and has the full set of levels 1-A.
- LIMITED - STELLA is fixed between 1-6.
- COMPRESSED - STELLA is fixed between 4-A.
- DISTORTED - STELLA is fixed between 7-A.
VIDEO
- CAPTION - decides when to show dialogue on screen when playing as DEADLIAR. Options are WITHOUT ALWAYS (never), AT REPLAYING (only shows when watching replays) and WITH ALWAYS (shows always, including during gameplay).
- INTERMISSION MONOLOGUE - turns on or off the novel sections between segments (they can still be skipped if this is turned on).
- CORE SIGN - shows or hides the hitbox
- BACKGROUND DISTINCTNESS - how bright the 3D backgrounds are. Turn this down if you have trouble focusing on the foreground elements.
- INV VISUALIZER - changes the background colour when the player is invulnerable to damage.
- SPIRIT GAIN DISP - adds feedback for gaining large amounts of spirits.
- WITHOUT - no feedback.
- 10000 - when over 10000 spirits are gained at once, a small number will display on screen showing how many spirits you gained / 10000.
- +SOUND - in addition to the small visual number, a sound will play when the number displayed is 10 or higher (100000 spirits actual total).
- +LOCUS - in addition to the small number and the sound, when an enemy/part is destroyed a trail shows the spirits moving from the enemy to the player.
- RESULT GRAPH - shows a graph in the middle of the screen charting each score type over time.
- COMMON HIT SPARK - shows an effect when your attacks hit the enemy.
- COMMON FIRE SPARK - shows an effect when the enemy attacks.
- MENU BACKGROUND PHASE - this option unlocks when the 4th main menu is unlocked and allows you to change the menu to any of the previous menus.
